Our team is formed by professionals passionate about the world of motorcycling, OTOMotorcycles has developed this product working in collaboration with engineers who share our passion. In our trajectory as designers and developers of motorcycles, we have witnessed how motorcycles were brought to our facilities that required very expensive repair or that directly went to the scrapyard for the typical low speed or even standstill fall. Surely you know the situation; a simple carelessness when parking, a gust of wind or a slight driving error at low speed that ended up with a damaged chassis or a punctured engine that could ultimately lead to the motorcycle being written off. On many occasions these failures were caused by the conventional frame sliders.
We put ourselves in the shoes of the customer who has spent so much time and money in the purchase, upkeep and care of their motorcycle, and we felt frustrated that there was not a better solution for these types of incidents today.
The conventional frame sliders on the market have never seemed to be a satisfactory solution from our point of view. Some low cost brands produce products that are simply not of sufficient quality. But even quality conventional bumpers concentrate a large amount of kinetic energy in a point of the bike’s structure, which has not been designed to withstand that effort, producing irreparable damage.
It is said that good ideas are waiting for someone to make them come true. The installation of damping systems is part of our daily routine, and applying that same principle to the frame sliders has been a great success.
We have invested hours of study dedicated to the design and construction of the first prototypes of the frame slider with an impact shock absorber. Our inventiveness, together with our experience in technology and 3D design, has paid off. A multitude of tests on different models with different weights and configurations have confirmed that we have a revolutionary patented system of frame sliders with impact shock absorbers that achieves results previously unheard of in conventional frame sliders.
